Work Environment

Office Environment

Saskatoon is a well-established clinic with experienced support staff and educators. Our clinic
has a large waiting room and 2 examination rooms. Our Education Centre is combined with our
clinic, to conveniently provide patients with education and support post-appointment. Working at
the Saskatoon location as a physician means they get supported from each member of our
close-knit team. Our goal is to ensure the physician can set the number of patients they wish to
see. Our clinic flows very smoothly, with wait times usually being no longer than 10 minutes.
Patients get accessed by clinical extenders, if the physician chooses to work with them, before
seeing the physician to do any pre charting and help with any concerns. When the physician is
ready to consult with their patient and determine if medical cannabis is the right treatment
option for them, all they need to do is run over their pre-set questions, sign off on the patients
the medical document and send the patient to complete education with one of our patient
educator team members.

You will have access to multiple medical professionals while working at NHS. In the clinic, you
will have access to Medical Office Assistants (MOA) and Clinical Extenders. The MOA will
ensure that both the clinic and physician schedules run smoothly throughout the day, while
performing all administrative and clinical tasks. Clinical Extenders will help conduct patient
appointments and assist in tasks delegated by physicians or manager.

Systems

As a support system, Natural Health Services has an Education Centre at each of our locations.
At our Saskatoon location, our Education Centre and our clinic are in the same location for ease
and convenience. After their clinical appointment, patients will go to the Education Centre as an
extra level of support in their medical cannabis journey. There, patients have access to Patient
Educators, who will assist them in registering for their medication with a Licensed Producer, as
well as answer any cannabis related questions they may have. Patient Educators are in place to
support the physicians by educating patients on accessing their medication when it comes to
ingestion and preparation.

Community/Neighbourhood

Natural Health Services is located on the corner of 2nd Avenue North and 23rd Street East,
which allows for easy access for pedestrians, vehicles, and local transit. The clinic is situated in
a heavily populated area, surrounded by local businesses and residential developments.
