I am a family physician caring for approximately 270 patients in a long-term care facility. I routinely make rounds approximately 3 mornings per week. The facility has 10 units and I visit approximately 3 to 4 units per day. The nursing staff is excellent. They write problems into a " Physicians Communication Binder", review the problems with me and accompany me to see the patients they have selected. They are very cooperative regarding the hours that I work.
On-Call/After Hour Requirements
After hours call not required.
No hospital privileges required.
The hours are very flexible and up to the locum to decide.
The remuneration is 90% of the billings. However, if the locum wanted to handle all the billings themselves, the remuneration would be 100%.
The Delta View facility is very modern and spacious. The working conditions are excellent and the staff is superb. All staff, including administrators, dietitian, social worker, care aids, LPNs and nurses are very accessible, cooperative and friendly.
I personally do hand written notes.
Delta Vew is located in a rural setting a few miles south of the Massey tunnel where Highway 10 crosses Hwy. 99.
The split will be 90 percent for the locum If I do the billing.
If the locum wishes to handle the billing, they could bill 100%.
