Looking for a flexible, part-time, yet fulfilling and financially rewarding option in family practice? Want to be mentored and supported by a mixed range of experienced colleagues? Our clinic is looking for someone to job share (1-5 days per week) with experienced physicians for an established, well-managed practice. There is also the opportunity to develop your own practice while supplementing income from job sharing.There is no long-term commitment but we are interested in recruiting a permanent associate and we are eager to accommodate to ensure that your experience will be professionally satisfying. 75%++ split. You can be as busy as you wish or go at a pace you feel comfortable. Full-time billings can be over $400K per year. New grads will feel supported as will have 3 other colleagues in the office for help and give advice. For those who wants to do OB, one physician does OB at Richmond Hospital. There is also hospitalist work available at Delta Hospital, which is across the street. Privileges can be arranged. This is a beautifully appointed, efficiently-run group practice and a long-established UBC teaching site (if you want to teach but it is optional). Fully computerized (MedAccess), spacious rooms with big windows and lots of natural light. Each MD gets their own sunny corner office.

On-Call/After Hour Requirements

Long term or associate responsibility is telephone call only about once every two weeks. Rarely gets any phone calls.


CPSBC license but will consider IMG who requires supervision.


75% split for locum position and even shared for associate (which will mean more income in your pocket)

Work Environment

Office Environment

Bright, spacious office with receptionist staff and dedicated MOAs. Each physician has 2 adult and 1 ped exam rooms and separate private office (all with large windows). All rooms are equiped with diagnostic equipment. The office is equipped with autoclave and instruments to alow diagnostic tests and minor surgical procedures. The liquid nitrogen is ready and available in the office.
Free WIFI throughout office. Lunch room for staff. Lab facilities downstairs and Xray / Delta Hospital across the street. Downtown Ladner is 3 minutes away for restaurants.

Ladner is a lovely suburban community just a short drive from Vancouver as you will be going against traffic. It is one of the few relatively affordable communities close to Vancouver. Replacement of the Massey Tunnel is being considered which will escalate land prices. Good amenities for families with good public and private schools close by and regular transport to Vancouver private schools. Many parks and nature reserves. Excellent sports facilities. Beautiful walks along the water and many amenities nearby. The aquatic centre is close by for a swim at lunch! Surrounded by farm land for anual harvesting of berries and vegetables. Giant farmers market regularly from spring to fall.
