Job Details

Our office currently has 3 full-time physicians.  One of our physicians does obstetrics.  Our office has one full-time receptionist and two part-time MOA/billing clerk.

On-Call/After Hour Requirements

ER shifts can be arranged if locum desires.


You must be registered with BC College of Physicians and Surgeons, and have legal protection with CMPA or similar. ACLS certification is not required but will be useful.


Before arriving, a member of the Central Interior Rural Division of Family Practice (CIRD) will contact you to help plan your itinerary. Once arrived, there will be a welcome basket and information package waiting for you. The CIRD is here to assist you and ensure your stay is a pleasant one.
*Travel cost up to $500 may be paid to locum (inquire with locum coordinator).
*We give you 100% support in finding suitable accommodations and connecting you with the community and recreational opportunities.
*Recreational opportunities include hiking, golfing, fishing, kayaking, bike riding, tennis, music, the arts and more. Take in the lake life only minutes away.

The Cameron Medical Clinic has three physician offices with four separate examining rooms.  We have a bright and spacious reception area with level access and excellent wheel chair accessibility.  Our office has a staff kitchen with cable television, Tassimo coffeemaker, full size refrigerator,  microwave, dining table and chairs, fully stocked dishware and utensils. We have a large parking lot with plenty of spots for staff and patients.  Several pharmacies are located within walking distance - a few blocks away.  Our office is located 3 blocks from the hospital.

Payment Terms

Financial terms include a 70/30 split up to a maximum of $300 per clinic day. If jobs are conducted outside of the office, no overhead is paid - locum gets 100% billings. Locums are expected to work regular clinic hours.

Incentives & Guaranteed Minimums

The Central Interior Rural Division of Family Practice is pleased to offer a Practice Coverage Program including the following incentives:
 Financial terms: Overhead for clinic work includes a 70/30 split up to a maximum of $300 per clinic day. If jobs are conducted outside of the office, no overhead is paid. Locums are expected to work regular clinic hours.
 Financial terms for ER doctors will be based on current hospital guidelines at the time of coverage.
 Travel cost up to $500 may be paid to locum (inquire with locum coordinator).
 For long-term locums (1 month or more) the Division may sponsor a getaway to the region before the coverage if current budgets allow (some restrictions apply).
*The locums must work for a minimum of one week to qualify for program incentives.
